Nightly builds are less stable versions of our software, generated daily to include the latest changes and updates. These builds are primarily used for testing and identifying potential issues in development.
Once a nightly build has been validated and deemed reliable, it is promoted to the beta stage, where it undergoes further testing. For each beta build, a notification mail is sent to the mailing lists (texmacs-users@texmacs.org and texmacs-dev@gnu.org).
After thorough validation and ensuring stability, the beta version is finally released to production, making it the official, stable version.
