General | Sources | Binaries | RPM | Knoppix | Windows | SVN | Fonts | Requirements

GNU TeXmacs runs on most Unix architectures, as well as on Windows (using Cygwin) and MacOS-X (using Fink). In order to download and install TeXmacs, follow the link which corresponds to your system.

RPM
For GNU/Linux distributions based on RPM packages (RedHat, Mandrake, etc.).
Linux
For users of several standard GNU/Linux distributions.
Cygwin
For users of Windows (requires the installation of Cygwin).
Windows
The beta-version of a native Windows port.
MacOS
For users of MacOS-X.
BSD
For users of BSD Unix.
Binaries
Binary tarballs are available for some other Unix systems (i386, sun, ppc).
Sources
For hackers and on more exotic systems.

We recommend a reasonably fast computer for running TeXmacs. On Unix systems, it is recommended to have a standard TeX/LaTeX installed on your system, which is usually the case. If not, then you will need to install some extra fonts.
